The Magma Fruit is an Elemental-type fruit. It costs Magma (3) 850,000 or Magma (4) 1,300 from the Blox Fruits Dealer. It also has a small chance to be obtained from Blox Fruit Gacha, or by finding it under trees. This fruit has a 10% chance to be in each stock, and a 7.2% chance to spawn in-game every hour.

The Magma Admiral and the Lava Pirate NPCs uses the old unawakened version of this fruit, both using only the Z (Magma Fist) and X (Magma Column) move. The Elite Pirate, Deandre also uses the awakened version of this fruit.

This fruit is the best fruit for sea beast grinding due to the water walking passive and the insane damage overtime. It doesn't require much mastery, thus allowing first sea players to use this excellent fruit. Its extremely high damage allows it to be able to solo simple raids, when awakened this fruit has two of the highest damaging moves. as well as making a high tier grinding fruit. (Note: Magma Currently Has The Highest Amount Of Damage In Blox fruits.)

Total fragments needed to awaken: Magma (5) 14,500

NameDescription
Elemental ReflexThe wielder is immune to all physical attacks (Fighting Style, Sword, and Gun) unless they are imbued with Aura or, in the case of an NPC, they are higher level.
Lava ImmunityThe user is immune to the lava puddles found on the Hot and Cold and Magma Village islands, as well as in Flame and Magma raids.
Magma FeetWhen you awaken at least one of the Awakened Magma skills, it grants the user the ability to walk on water by passively creating small magma puddles to walk on similar to the ice fruit,(this passive no longer uses energy).

Other players cannot see or stand on these puddles.

KeyAttack NameDescriptionDamage RatingMastery
Magma (6)
Magma Clap
The player will create 2 hands, and after a very short delay will clap into each other dealing damage to any enemy within the vicinity. The hitbox of the hands are larger than it seems considering the small hand size.
Magma (7)
Mas. 1
Magma (8)
Magma Eruption
The user will create an eruption below them. If an enemy is standing right on top of it, they will launch to the air dealing damage. A lava pool will also stay for a few seconds that deal damage over time to enemies standing on it. There can be 1-3 lava pools that can spawn at a time.
Magma (9)
Mas. 45
Magma (10)
Magma Fist
Create a large fireball that will launch to where your pointer is pointing at. If it hits the ground, it will explode and will also leave a bigger lava pool that will stay for a few seconds. Magma Fist is very identical to its past skill, Magma Wolf.
Magma (11)
Mas. 95
Magma (12)
Magma Meteors
Creates 3 "Meteors" that will launch to where your pointer is pointing at,hitting the ground will cause it to explode into smaller pieces that look like lava pools but don't do damage. Out of all the attack the Magma set has, this is likely to be the most devastating skill out of all of them.
Magma (13)
Mas. 140
Magma (14)
Magma Floor
If used, the player will go into the ground and create lava pools that last for about 1 second. Spinning around can deal a lot of damage to the enemy because the lava pools stack on each other. Keep in mind that you can still get damaged while using Magma Floor. If F key is released, you will jump out of the floor, dealing damage and knocking enemies high up if they are above you.

Magma (21)
Magma Shower
The player unleashes a massive amount of melting hot magma rocks dealing heavy damage when everything hits and leaving behind multiple magma puddles. This move can be shot to the sky, and the projectiles will fall to the ground afterward.
Magma (22)
Magma (23) 500
Magma (24)
Volcanic Assault
The player dashes and if they hit an opponent, they will fire multiple continuous blasts of searing hot magma from their palm, and then finish it off with a stronger blast that deals knockback and great damage.
Magma (25)
Magma (26) 3,000
Magma (27)
Great Magma Hound
The player launches a large hound-like magma projectile that deals large damage and leaves magma puddles under it. This move can carry enemies or NPCs for a certain distance and stuns for a brief amount of time (works for players only).
Magma (28)
Magma (29) 4,000
Magma (30)
Volcanic Storm
The player amasses a great amount of scorching-hot magma on their right hand, before throwing it all out towards the cursor as all of the magma hits a surface and causes a great explosion of magma puddles while dealing very extreme damage to anyone they hit. Anyone near the explosion will have their screen's colour change to a shade of dark orange. This move is one of the most damaging moves in the whole game.
Magma (31)
Magma (32) 5,000
Magma (33)
Beast Ride
The player creates a rock of magma below them and sits on top of it and takes off, similiar to Gravity's Boulder Flight, leaving trails of burning hot magma behind. It's faster than normal Magma Flight. When you release F, the beast turns into puddles of lava that deal good damage on contact. There is a time limit as to how long you can use the move for though (because it deals damage, like Venom).

(Video) Magma Awakening Noob to Pro Level 1 to Max Level 2450 In Blox Fruits

  • Cons

  • Trivia

Extremely versatile due to its many passives.
Very good for grinding, since attacks leave a magma mark that works like lava, dealing extra damage.
Highest damage in the game for all Fruits (if all the puddle damage is applied).
Awakened magma has the same ability as Ice fruit. Walking on the water. But your energy won't drain as quick as Ice
It is an Elemental type Blox Fruit and has really great damage (unawakened and awakened), making it the best fruit when it comes to grinding.
Immunity from lava, which is found at Magma Village, Flame raids, Hot and Cold Island, and Flame (Magma in Magma raid doesn't do damage) raids.
One of the greatest fruits for low levels due to great damage and the Elemental effect. With awakened Magma, the V and Z moves will kill NPCs, if they stay in the puddles.
Really easy to get bounty with Magma V2. All you need is the fully awakened moveset, and a supporting sword and/or gun, because Z and V do extremely high damage, and if used right with a supporting sword and/or gun, you will be able to crush virtually all opponents (sometimes even without your Fighting Style) you come across.
Somewhat good combo potential (awakened).
Awakened Magma got buffed (Update 17, Part 2). The magma puddles now deal way higher damage to opponents.
Easy to obtain, like from the Cafe as it's quite underrated despite how good it is.
The user is now able to walk on water passively, without taking any damage, if you have awakened Magma. This makes awakened Magma one of the best fruits to use while defeating or hunting for Sea Beasts.
All moves deal damage, even the flight move (awakened Magma).
One of the most spammable fruits (awakened), alongside Flame, Dragon, Venom, Phoenix and Soul.
Somewhat cheap for what it's worth.

Magma V2 does some of the most damage of all of the fruits in the game and when combined with the unawakened f move it will be tied for first for highest damage

Air jumping and aiming volcanic assault at your opponent from above removes knockback from the move, which can be useful to start a combo
Be sure to aim ahead of your opponent with magma meteors if they are coming at you, as the projectiles are pretty slow.
With unawakened magma, spamming x or v (on yourself) can be a good tactic to escape a combo or a click combo by a npc.

Your hitbox is still above ground level while using magma floor (unawakened magma F). This means, although this move is amazing for grinding when you DO get the elemental immunity, you will eat a lot of hits if you gather up all the npcs and magma floor on them. This is inconvenient in the second and third sea as you will need to be 15+ levels above the npcs to get the immunity. Projectiles (unawakened) are slow and can be flash stepped or even dashed away from easily. (Awakened projectiles are faster.)

Awakened Magma z and v is extremely hard to land outside combo or when opponent is sky camping.
Unawakened Magma got heavily nerfed in update 17.3, making it only reliable on close ranged battles.
Hard to hit airborne targets (Magma V1. It's easier with Magma V2).
Volcanic Assault is single-target and has end-lag, which is bad if you miss your shot.
Unawakened Magma's "flight" move doesn't even fly but instead glides on the ground.
Magma V1 has the slowest mobility move in-game (tied with Smoke and Sand).
Magma Meteors and Magma Fist is the only move for unawakened that is reliable as a mid ranged attack (Magma X has range however it's not that far).
Magma's elemental immunity doesn't work on bosses like all elementals.
You can still be hit while using Magma F (V1) if your level isn’t high enough to be immune to NPCS that don’t have Aura.

The awakening order is Z, F, X, C and VYou can step on magma (awk) puddles on the ocean (this can help you when you ran out of jumps)

Dying while using Magma Floor keeps the visual on the place you died without doing damage.
Magma Floor visually disables haki.
This fruit is known to be one of the highest damage dealing fruits in the game.

FAQs

Is magma a lava? ›

Scientists use the term magma for molten rock that is underground and lava for molten rock that breaks through the Earth's surface.

Is magma Hotter Than lava? ›

The molten liquid that gets erupted out of the surface of the Earth is termed as lava. Lava is also referred to as liquid magma. The temperature of magma is slightly hotter and ranges from 1300 to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature of lava is slightly colder and ranges between 1300-2200 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is in a magma? ›

Magma is a molten and semi-molten rock mixture found under the surface of the Earth. This mixture is usually made up of four parts: a hot liquid base, called the melt; minerals crystallized by the melt; solid rocks incorporated into the melt from the surrounding confines; and dissolved gases.

Why is lava called magma? ›

When geologists refer to magma, they're talking about molten rock that's still trapped underground. If this molten rock makes it to the surface and keeps flowing like a liquid, it's called lava. Magmas vary in their chemical composition, which gives them—and the volcanoes that contain them—different properties.

Is magma a fire or rock? ›

Magma is extremely hot liquid and semi-liquid rock located under Earth's surface. Earth has a layered structure that consists of the inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust. Much of the planet's mantle consists of magma.

Which cools faster lava or magma? ›

When magma cools underground, it cools very slowly and when lava cools above ground, it cools quickly. When magma and lava cool, mineral crystals start to form in the molten rock.

What happens if you touch magma? ›

Lava won't kill you if it briefly touches you. You would get a nasty burn, but unless you fell in and couldn't get out, you wouldn't die. With prolonged contact, the amount of lava "coverage" and the length of time it was in contact with your skin would be important factors in how severe your injuries would be!

Is lightning hotter than lava? ›

Lightning is much hotter than lava. Lightning is 70,000 degrees Fahrenheit, compared to Lava at 2,240 degrees.

Which is hotter lava or sun? ›

Lava is indeed very hot, reaching temperatures of 2,200° F or more. But even lava can't hold a candle to the sun! At its surface (called the "photosphere"), the sun's temperature is a whopping 10,000° F! That's about five times hotter than the hottest lava on Earth.

What creates magma? ›

When an oceanic plate collides with a continental plate, it sinks into the mantle below. As the oceanic plate sinks, fluid (shown in purple) is squeezed out of it. The fluid flows up into the mantle rock above and changes its chemistry, causing it to melt. This forms magma (molten rock).

What makes magma so hot? ›

Lava is hot for two primary reasons: Pressure and radiogenic heating make it very hot deep in the Earth (about 100 km down) where rocks melt to make magma. The rock around the magma is a good insulator so the magma doesn't lose much heat on the way to the surface.

How hot is magma? ›

Magma rises from the mantle, a region deep within the Earth, into the "roots" of Kīlauea at temperatures of around 1500 degrees Celsius (2700 degrees Fahrenheit).

Is magma hotter than fire? ›

Are there flames hotter than magma? While lava can be as hot as 2200 F, some flames can be much hotter, such as 3600 F or more, while a candle flame can be as low as 1800 F. Lava is hotter than a typical wood or coal-buring fire, but some flames, such as that of an acetylene torch, is hotter than lava.

What is hardened lava called? ›

When magma reaches the surface it is then called lava and the eruptions of lava and ash produce volcanoes. The lava that reaches the Earth's surface will harden and become igneous rock.

When lava hits water? ›

The surf disrupts some of the molten lava, breaking it into smaller blobs. Quenched by water, the blobs are broken into even smaller pieces. The resultant increase in surface area promotes rapid heating of water. The volume of water available for mixing in the surf zone is less than that available in deeper water.

How deep is magma? ›

The models showed that two factors -- the ability of water vapor to bubble out of the magma, and the ability of the crust to expand to accommodate chamber growth -- are the key factors constraining the depth of magma chambers, which are generally found between six and 10 kilometers deep.

How hot is blue fire? ›

Orange flames range from around 1100°C to 1200°C. White flames are hotter, measuring 1300°C to about 1500°C. The brighter the white, the higher the temperature. For blue flames, or flames with a blue base, you can expect the temperature to rise dramatically, hitting roughly 2500°C to 3000°C.

Can magma burn rubber? ›

Lava can melt any material, including rubber, tanks, cars, trees, and grasses, with melting points below 2,190° F.

What happens if you freeze lava? ›

Magma and lava solidify in much the same way that water freezes. When magma or lava cools down enough, it solidi- fies, or "freezes," to form igneous rock.

Which magma is the hottest? ›

The hottest lava around today is deemed “mafic,” a type that contains mineral compositions that ensure it melts at the highest temperatures.

What rock is formed from magma? ›

Extrusive, or volcanic, igneous rock is produced when magma exits and cools above (or very near) the Earth's surface. These are the rocks that form at erupting volcanoes and oozing fissures.

Would you feel pain if you fell in lava? ›

Would you feel pain if you fell in lava? The height matters, because lava is actually acting a little like a solid. So if you are dropped onto lava from 30 metres, it would be like smacking on hard hot rock, which is painful. The lava would not instantly kill you, but your death would be within a few seconds.

Can lava melt diamonds? ›

The melting point of Diamond at about 100,000 atm is 4200 K, which is much higher than the temperature of lava. So, it is impossible for lava to melt a diamond.

Can you outrun lava? ›

Depending on its composition, lava ranges from 10,000 to 100 million times as viscous as water. This means even the runniest molten rock has the viscosity of room temperature honey. Unless you're on a very steep slope, you can generally outrun it.

What is hottest thing in the universe? ›

A supernova is the hottest thing in the universe. The temperatures at the core during an explosion skyrocket up to 6000X the temperature of the sun's core.

How hot is purple lightning? ›

Up to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit, maybe even more.

What is the hottest item on Earth? ›

Lava is the hottest natural thing on Earth. It comes from the Earth's mantle or crust. The layer closer to the surface is mostly liquid, spiking to an astounding 12,000 degrees and occasionally seeping out to create lava flows.

How hot is a bolt of lightning? ›

In fact, lightning can heat the air it passes through to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit (5 times hotter than the surface of the sun). When lightning strikes a tree, the heat vaporizes any water in its path possibly causing the tree to explode or a strip of bark to be blown off.

How cold is the space? ›

But what of the average temperature of space away from the Earth? Believe it or not, astronomers actually know this value quite well: an extreme -270.42 degrees (2.73 degrees above absolute zero).

What is the coldest planet? ›

However, the coldest planet is not Neptune, but Uranus – even though Uranus is a billion miles closer to the Sun than Neptune. Uranus holds the record for the coldest temperature ever measured in the Solar System: a very chilly -224℃.

What gives magma its explosive? ›

As magma rises and pressure is released, gas bubbles (mainly of water vapor and carbon dioxide) form and expand rapidly, causing explosions. Magmas with high silica content tend to erupt violently, because they are viscious.

Can magma turn into soil? ›

The lava has cooled and is now a volcanic rock called basalt. The weathering process will break the basalt down into small, finer pieces of rock called soil. This process can take a few years or thousands of years to produce soil fine enough for plants to grow well in.

What are the 3 ways magma can form? ›

There are three principal ways rock behavior crosses to the right of the green solidus line to create molten magma: 1) decompression melting caused by lowering the pressure, 2) flux melting caused by adding volatiles (see more below), and 3) heat-induced melting caused by increasing the temperature.

What can lava not melt? ›

The short answer is that while lava is hot, it's not hot enough to melt the rocks on the side of or surrounding the volcano. Most rocks have melting points higher than 700℃.

Can anything live in lava? ›

While some present day microorganisms are capable of flourishing in high-temperature environments such as deep-sea hydrothermal vents, temperatures of molten lava are greater than the upper limits permitting microbial survival.

What can stop lava? ›

Barriers and levees have also been used to divert lava flows and can be successful in low volume effusive eruptions as seen at Etna in 1992 and at Heimaey in 1973 (photos below). 12.3. 3 Slowing the lava flow by cooling it has been proposed attempted as another method for controlling lava.

Is Blue Lava real? ›

Technically, molten rock or lava can be blue. However, it does not occur at the natural temperature of volcanoes. For lava to be truly blue it would have to be at least 6,000 °C, which is much hotter than anything naturally possible on the Earth's surface.

How hot is green lava? ›

The temperature of the lava in the tubes is about 1,250 degrees Celsius (2,200 degrees Fahrenheit).

Can magma be cold? ›

Temperature. Temperatures of lava, which is magma extruded onto the surface, are in the range 700 to 1,400 °C (1,300 to 2,600 °F), but very rare carbonatite magmas may be as cool as 490 °C (910 °F), and komatiite magmas may have been as hot as 1,600 °C (2,900 °F).

What is fresh lava called? ›

Pāhoehoe (also spelled pahoehoe, from Hawaiian [paːˈhoweˈhowe] meaning "smooth, unbroken lava") is basaltic lava that has a smooth, billowy, undulating, or ropy surface. These surface features are due to the movement of very fluid lava under a congealing surface crust.

Is water technically lava? ›

Based on the definition given in that article, water is neither lava nor magma l, as they both need to have some suspended crystal component. Slurpees, on the other hand are magma (especialy if your local 7-eleven happens to be in a basement.

What is lava before it erupts? ›

Magma that has erupted is called lava. Some volcanic eruptions are explosive and others are not. The explosivity of an eruption depends on the composition of the magma. If magma is thin and runny, gases can escape easily from it. When this type of magma erupts, it flows out of the volcano.

What is the rarest lava? ›

CARBONATITES. Carbonatites are perhaps the most unusual of all lavas. They are defined, when crystalline, by having more than 50% carbonate (CO3-bearing) minerals, and typically they are composed of less than 10% SiO2.

What is black lava called? ›

Basalt is very dark in color - often black or gray. There are three different types of basaltic lava flows that are common in Hawaii - pillow lava, pahoehoe and 'A'a. The drapery was formed when lava flowed over a sea cliff onto the new land forming at its base.

What is the hottest lava called? ›

The hottest lava around today is deemed “mafic,” a type that contains mineral compositions that ensure it melts at the highest temperatures.

What are the 4 types of lava? ›

The four types of lava are felsic lava with high silica content, mafic lava with low silica content, intermediate lava, and ultramafic lava.

What if lava touched water? ›

In addition to the steam created when lava meets water, the result can also be lava haze, or just "laze," which is highly acidic and can contain chlorine. "This mixture has the stinging and corrosive properties of dilute battery acid, and should be avoided," says the USGS.

Can lava boil water? ›

Lava fluid enough to flow has a temperature well above the boiling point of water, and the water in contact with the lava will be heated to its boiling point in a matter of seconds. Two things, however, work against any violent explosions.

How hot is blue lava? ›

Truly-blue lava would require temperatures of at least 6,000 °C (10,830 °F), which is much higher than any lava can naturally achieve on the surface of the Earth.

Can lava exist underwater? ›

What Types of Lava Flows Are There Underwater? Lava erupting on the deep sea floor has a form most like pahoehoe flows. Three types of lava flows are common on the sea floor: pillow lava, lobate lava, and sheet lava.

Can lava be in the ocean? ›

Lava continues to enter the ocean in two locations: Kamoamoa and the area east of Kupapa`u. As mentioned in the article above, the benches of the ocean entries are very hazardous, with possible collapses of the unstable new land. The steam clouds are extremely hot, highly acidic, and laced with glass particles.
